Enron scandal

The Enron scandal was when a company called Enron cheated people out of their money. This company was very big and it made lots of money from selling energy. However, the people at the top of the company were hiding the fact that their company was going bankrupt. They pretended to be making lots of money and tried to get people to invest their money in the company. But instead of investing the money, the people at Enron were using it to buy things for themselves, such as houses and cars. When this information was discovered, it caused the company to go bankrupt and a lot of people lost all of their investments.
