Environmental impact of nuclear power

Nuclear power is a way that we can make electricity by using something called uranium that we dig up from the ground. It's kind of like a big battery that we can recharge and use over and over again.

But sometimes things can go wrong with nuclear power plants and they can leak harmful stuff into the environment. This can hurt people, animals, and plants by making them sick or even causing cancer.

So, we need to be very careful when we use nuclear power, and make sure that we have plans in place to keep everyone safe.

But some people think that using nuclear power is worth the risk because it doesn't cause as much pollution as other ways of making electricity, like burning fossil fuels.
