Okay kiddo, so Euromaidan was a big protest that happened in Ukraine a few years ago. You know how sometimes when you and your friends don't like something, you speak up and say, "Hey! This isn't fair!"? Well, that's kind of what happened in Ukraine.
A lot of people in Ukraine were upset because they didn't like the president at the time. They thought he was doing things that they didn't agree with, and they wanted him to leave his job. So, they decided to gather together in a big public place and protest.
The public place was called Maidan Square, and they named the protest "Euromaidan" because some people wanted Ukraine to become more like the countries in Europe. They thought Ukraine could be more fair and have more opportunities if it was like the countries in Europe.
Thousands of people gathered in Maidan Square and protested for days and days. They built tents and stayed there, even when it was cold outside. The government didn't like this and sent police officers to try and make them leave. This made the protesters even angrier because they thought the police officers were being unfair.
Eventually, the president was forced to leave his job and a new government was put in place. The people who protested were happy because they felt like their voices had been heard and they had helped make a change.
So, Euromaidan was a big protest in Ukraine where people gathered together to speak up and make a change in their government.
