ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Fare strike

So imagine you are on a bus or train and you need to pay some money to ride it. But sometimes people don't want to pay because maybe it's too expensive, or they don't have enough money, or they don't like the rules of the company that runs the transportation.

When a lot of people do this at the same time, it's called a fare strike. They all decide not to pay because they want to show how unhappy they are with something.

But this can be a problem because the company still needs money to run the buses and trains, pay the workers, and make sure everything works properly. It's like if you wanted to buy a toy but you didn't have enough money, the toy store still needs to make money to stay in business.

So, while it might seem like a good idea to not pay for something, it can cause problems for everyone in the long run. It's important to find a way to solve problems without hurting others or breaking the rules.
