Fiber tapping

Fiber tapping is a way of connecting two things with fiber-optic cables. Fiber-optic cables are like lots of thin, flexible wires made out of glass that carry information in the form of light. Fiber tapping is like putting two pieces of the wire together so that information can be sent from one place to the other. This is usually used when a company wants to make sure that the information from one place gets securely to another place, like a computer network in a building.
