ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

First Person Plural

First person plural means we are all talking about ourselves as a group. Let's imagine we're on a team, and we want to talk about what we did at the game.

Instead of saying "I scored a goal" or "you passed me the ball," we would say "we played a great game" or "we won because we worked together." That's because we're all part of the team, and we all contributed to the game's outcome.

So, whenever we use the pronouns "we," "us," or "our," we're talking about ourselves as a group. It's a way of including everyone and acknowledging that we all worked together towards a common goal.
