Flue-gas stack

A flue-gas stack is like a special chimney for big factories, power plants, and other places where they use a lot of energy. When they burn things to create energy, it creates gases that need to be safely sent outside so people don't breathe them in. These gases go up into a tall stack, like a giant pipe, and are released into the air very high up, sometimes even above the clouds. This ensures that the gas doesn't stick around near the ground where people could breathe it in, and instead, it gets carried away by the wind. The stack is usually made of strong materials like concrete, brick or steel to make sure it doesn't fall over or break. Therefore, the stack makes sure that we don't breathe in harmful gases while keeping the environment safe.
