ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Fluency

Okay kiddo, do you know how when you practice riding a bike, you get better and better until you can ride without even thinking about it? That's kind of like what fluency is.

Fluency means being really good at something, like speaking a language or reading a book. When you practice speaking a language a lot, you can become fluent and talk really naturally without having to stop and think about what words to use. And when you practice reading a book a lot, you can become fluent and read really quickly without having to stop and sound out every word.

So, basically, fluency means being really good at something because you've practiced it a lot!
