Gas cracker

Okay kiddo, have you ever played with plastic toys or seen things made of plastic like water bottles or toothbrushes? Well, plastic comes from a special material called petrochemicals. These petrochemicals are found deep under the earth's surface and they are oil and gas-based materials.

Now, a gas cracker is like a big machine that takes gas, which is one of these petrochemicals, and turns it into other useful materials like plastic. Just like a toy making machine takes a shape of plastic and turns it into fun toys.

The gas cracker heats up the gas to very high temperatures and turns it into something new called olefins. These olefins are used to make things like pipes, car parts, and even our toothbrushes.

So, when we say gas cracker, it means a huge machine that melts gas and turns it into different materials that we use in our daily life. It's kind of like a magic machine that transforms gas into things we need and use every day!
