Gasification

Gasification is a process for making energy. It is a way of turning things like coal, waste and other materials into a gas. This gas can then be used to create electricity or power engines. To do this, the material is put into a big container called a gasifier. Inside the gasifier, we add heat and oxygen. This heat and oxygen help turn the material into a gas, which is called "syngas." We then cool the syngas and clean it. After that, we use it for energy.
