ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Gender mainstreaming

Gender mainstreaming means that we treat boys, girls, men, and women the same way when we make rules, laws, and decisions. It's like when we play a game with our friends, we want to make sure that everyone is playing fair and nobody is left out or treated differently because of their gender. We want to make sure that everyone has the same opportunities to do things they like, whether it's playing sports, reading books, or anything else. Gender mainstreaming helps us recognize that people have different needs and experiences, and we can make things better by thinking about how we can include everyone in our decisions.
