Handbells

Okay kiddo, let me tell you all about handbells! Handbells are a type of musical instrument that are played by a group of people who each hold one bell in their hand.

The bells are made of metal and come in all different sizes, from small ones that are just a few inches tall, to large ones that are a few feet tall!

When the people play the handbells, they ring them by striking them with a special mallet. Each person in the group is responsible for playing just one or two bells, and together they make beautiful music.

The people playing the handbells have to work together very carefully, because if one person makes a mistake, it can throw off the whole group! They have to listen carefully to each other and stay in time with the music.

Handbells are often used in church music or holiday music, like at Christmas time. They can also be used to play all kinds of other songs too!

So there you have it, handbells are a type of musical instrument that are played by a group of people who work together to make beautiful music. Pretty cool, right?
