Heat transfer coefficient is like a speed measure for how quickly heat energy moves through materials. Imagine that heat energy is like a car, and the heat transfer coefficient is like how fast the car can go. The higher the heat transfer coefficient, the faster the car (of heat energy) goes. Heat travels from where it is hot to where it is cold, and the higher the heat transfer coefficient is, the more quickly this happens.
