Hindu astronomy

Hindu Astronomy is the traditional astronomy of the Hindu people, which is based on the Vedic and other ancient texts of India. It was used to make predictions and observations about the stars, planets, and other celestial bodies in the sky. The Hindu astronomers also tried to understand things like calendars and time-keeping as well as the movements of the Sun and the Moon. Hindu Astronomy is still very important to many people in India.
