History of LSD

Okay kiddo, today we are going to talk about something called LSD or “acid”. It’s a kind of medicine that can make people see and feel things that aren’t really there.

So, a long time ago in 1938, a scientist named Albert Hoffman made LSD while he was trying to find a new and better medicine to help fight some sicknesses. But he didn’t know how powerful it could be.

Years later, in the 1960s, some people started to take LSD to have fun and feel different things. They thought it was cool and made them feel happy and silly. This was called the “hippie” time because a lot of people who liked LSD were hippies.

But, some people didn’t like LSD and thought it was dangerous because those who took it would sometimes see and feel things that were way too strong and they would get hurt. This worried many people and the governments made LSD illegal in many countries around the world.

Nowadays, some doctors still use LSD for treatments, but only in small, controlled doses to help people. Regular people aren’t allowed to use LSD and it is illegal to make, sell, or buy it.

So, that’s a brief history of LSD, kiddo. It’s a strong medicine that can do wonderful things to some people, but it’s also very dangerous if not used correctly.
