Hittite art

Hittite art is art that was made by the Hittites a really, really long time ago - even before your grandparents and their grandparents were born. The Hittites were people who lived in what is now Turkey. They made all kinds of art, like sculptures and carvings, and jewelry like necklaces and bracelets. They used different materials like bronze, silver, and gold to make their art.

Their sculptures were really neat because they looked like real people and animals! They made sculptures of their kings and gods and goddesses. They also made sculptures of animals like lions and bulls.

The Hittites also made carvings on buildings and rocks. They used tools to make pictures of people and animals on the walls of buildings. Sometimes they would carve these pictures into rocks or big stones too.

The Hittites used different colors for their artwork too. They liked using bright colors like red, blue, and green. They even painted some of their sculptures with color!

So, Hittite art is really cool and interesting to look at because it tells us about what people made and what life was like thousands of years ago.
