Ice house (building)

An ice house (building), is a special type of building that is used to store blocks of ice, usually made of ice cut from a lake or a river. The ice is stored in the ice house and kept frozen all year round, usually with sawdust or straw to provide extra insulation. The stored ice can then be used to help keep food, drinks, and other things cold, even during warm weather.
