Identical twins

Imagine you have a best friend who looks exactly like you. Identical twins are kind of like that, but even more alike!

When a mommy and a daddy love each other very much, they might decide to have a baby. Sometimes, the mommy's egg gets fertilized by the daddy's sperm and grows into a tiny baby.

In the case of identical twins, something special happens when the egg is fertilized. Instead of just one baby growing, the fertilized egg splits into two parts that each become their own baby! These babies grow together inside the mommy and when they are born, they look almost exactly the same because they started out as one egg.

Even though they look very similar, identical twins can still have different personalities, interests, and talents. They might dress differently, have different favorite foods, or enjoy different games. But one thing is for sure, they will always be each other's best friend!
