Impact winter

Impact winter is a type of winter that could happen after a very big asteroid hits the Earth. The asteroid would make a lot of dust and smoke that would go up very high in the sky. This dust and smoke would block out the sun and make it cold and dark all over the world. Plants would stop getting the sun and so they wouldn't produce food and the people who eat the plants would have nothing to eat. This would be a scary and dangerous time, but luckily it is very unlikely to happen.
