Implicit function

An implicit function is a way of using equations to express how two things are related to each other. If one thing changes, the other thing might also change. For example, if you have a container filled with water, when you add more water to it, the number of cups of water in the container will go up. That's an implicit function—the number of cups of water is related to how much water you have in the container.
