Industrial enzymes

Okay, kiddo, so you know how sometimes we need things to help us do certain tasks? Like how we use a pencil to write or scissors to cut paper? Well, in the same way, people use something called enzymes to help them do certain things in factories and industries.

Enzymes are kind of like little helpers that work in our bodies and help us digest food, but industrial enzymes are specifically created to do helpful things in factories and industries too.

For example, some enzymes can help make bread rise by breaking down the starch in the flour so the yeast can munch on it and create gas that makes the dough rise. Other enzymes are used in laundry detergent to help get rid of tough stains by breaking down dirt and oils on our clothes.

There are so many different types of enzymes and they can be used to do things like make cheese, beer, and even biofuels! They are really important because they help us do things more efficiently and in a way that is better for the environment.
