Infinite regress

Infinite regress is when you keep going back and back and don't get anywhere. To help explain it, let's use a game of tag. In this game, there are two people, Person A and Person B. Person A starts by chasing Person B and Person B runs away until Person A tags them. Then Person B runs away from Person A and Person A has to catch them. This goes on and on forever. That's infinite regress - it's like Person A and Person B can never actually finish the game.
