Intergroup anxiety is when you feel worried about interacting with other people who are different than you. It could be because of their race, religion, gender, the way they dress, where they live, how they speak, or anything else that might make them different from you or from people you are used to seeing. It makes it hard to talk to these people because you are worried they won't like you or they will think you're strange. It can be a really uncomfortable feeling.
