International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea

International regulations are rules that tell boats how to behave when they’re out at sea. They help keep boats from crashing into each other, so no one gets hurt. The rules say that all boats have to stay in certain areas, use certain kinds of lights and flags, and sound fog horns when they can’t see other boats. That way, all the boats know where each other is, and can avoid getting too close.
