International primate trade

So you know how we have monkeys and apes and they are super cool animals, right? Well, some people want to have monkeys and apes as pets or use them for other things like entertainment. This is where international primate trade comes in.

International primate trade means that people buy and sell monkeys and apes from different countries. Sometimes, they even bring these animals from the wild into their own countries to sell them for money.

Now, the problem with this is that it can be really bad for the monkeys and apes. Taking them from the wild can mean that they lose their families and natural habitat. They may end up living in small cages or being mistreated by their owners.

But it's not just bad for the animals. It can also be bad for humans because some of these monkeys and apes can carry diseases that humans can catch. Plus, it's just not nice to take wild animals away from their homes.

That's why there are rules and laws in place to try and stop international primate trade. People can get in big trouble for buying or selling monkeys and apes illegally. And there are organizations that work to protect these animals and help them live happy and healthy lives in their natural habitats.

So while monkeys and apes may be cool to look at and learn about, it's important to remember that they belong in the wild and not as pets or entertainment for humans.
