ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Involution (mathematics)

Involutions are things that do two opposite things at the same time. In math, they are like doing a set of problems, then doing the exact opposite set of problems, and ending up with the same result at the end. It could be like adding 3 and 5, which gives 8, then subtracting 3 and 5 which also gives 8. So the end result of the two sets of math problems is the same.
