Jet engine

A jet engine is like a really big fan that sucks in air and uses fuel to make a loud noise and create a powerful stream of air called thrust. That thrust helps propel a plane forward like a rocket and makes it fly very fast. The loud noise you hear when a plane takes off is the jet engine!
