Joshua 7

Okay kiddo, let me tell you about Joshua 7. This is a story in the Bible about a man named Joshua and a city called Jericho. Joshua and his army had just won a big battle against Jericho, which was a really big deal. But then, something not so good happened.

One of Joshua's soldiers, named Achan, took something from Jericho that he wasn't supposed to. He took a pretty robe, some silver, and a bar of gold. This made God really mad because they weren't supposed to take anything from Jericho.

So, the next time Joshua and his army went to fight a battle, things didn't go so well. They lost the battle because God was not on their side anymore because of what Achan did. When Joshua found out what Achan did, he was really upset and told him he had to confess (which means telling the truth about what he did wrong).

Finally, Achan told the truth and admitted that he took those things from Jericho. Joshua and his army punished Achan for what he did, but they also asked God for forgiveness. And, in the end, everything got better and they continued on to win more battles.

So, the story of Joshua 7 is about doing the right thing and not taking things that don't belong to you. It's also about asking for forgiveness if you do something wrong.
