In Judges 13, there was a man named Manoah and his wife who were very sad because they did not have any children. One day, an angel came to visit the woman and told her that she would have a baby boy. The angel also told her that she should not eat or drink anything special and that she should raise the child as a special servant of God called a Nazirite.
The woman told her husband about the angel's visit, and he was amazed. They waited and soon, the woman gave birth to a baby boy. They named him Samson.
Samson grew up to be very strong and powerful. But because he was a Nazirite, he was not allowed to cut his hair or drink wine. One day, Samson fell in love with a woman named Delilah. She was very beautiful but also very sneaky.
Samson eventually told Delilah the secret of his strength — that his hair was the source of his power. Delilah then betrayed Samson by cutting off his hair while he slept. Without his strength, Samson was captured by his enemies, but he later was able to regain his strength and defeat his enemies.
The story of Samson in Judges 13 is a reminder of the importance of keeping our promises and being loyal to God.
