ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Hebrews 11

Hebrews 11 is a special part of the Bible that talks about some of the important people who believed in God a long, long time ago.

The writer of Hebrews explains that faith is like having hope in things we can't see yet. For example, just like we hope that the sun will come up in the morning and we can see it, people in Hebrews 11 hoped that God was real and that good things would happen because they believed in him.

The writer goes on to tell stories about some of these people, like Abraham, who followed God even though he wasn't sure what would happen next. Another person mentioned is Moses, who led the Israelites out of Egypt because he trusted that God would help him.

There are also many other people mentioned in Hebrews 11, and the writer points out that they all had faith in God, even though they faced really hard times. But because they believed in God, they were able to do amazing things and live a life that was pleasing to him.

So basically, Hebrews 11 is a chapter in the Bible that talks about people who believed in God a long time ago and did great things because of their faith. It encourages us to trust in God, even when things are hard, and look forward to the good things that come from having faith in him.
