Kijo is a creature that people in Japan used to believe in a long time ago. They thought that sometimes women could turn into Kijo if they got really angry or upset about something. Kijo are usually shown as looking pretty but don't be fooled as they can be very dangerous. They have special powers that they can use to hurt people if they want to.
Most times, Kijo were a symbol for women who didn't want to just do what the men in their lives told them to do. They wanted to be able to make their own choices and live their own lives. Back then, men didn't always like that and so they would say that these women were bad or evil in some way, which is where the idea of Kijo came from.
Nowadays, most people in Japan don't believe in Kijo anymore but they still talk about them sometimes in stories or movies. They're kind of like fairies or other magical creatures that people like to imagine exist in the world.
