Korean independence movements

Okay, imagine if you were playing with your toys and someone else kept taking them away from you. You would feel pretty upset, right? That's kind of what happened with Korea a long time ago.

Korea used to be its own country with its own language, culture, and traditions. But then, some other countries like Japan and China started to take control over Korea and make decisions for them. This made a lot of Koreans feel like they weren't in charge of their own country anymore.

So, some Koreans wanted to fight back and become independent again. They didn't want other countries to control them. This was called the Korean independence movement. The independence movement was a way for Koreans to protest and fight for their right to be in charge of their own country.

Some Koreans used peaceful protests, like marches and speeches, to try and convince the other countries to let them be independent. Other Koreans used more extreme methods like riots and strikes to show how serious they were about wanting independence.

Finally, in 1945, Korea became independent from Japan with the help of other countries like the United States and the Soviet Union. This was a big moment for Korea because it meant they could finally be in charge of their own country again.

So, the Korean independence movement was a way for Koreans to fight back against other countries controlling them and to become independent once again. It was a long and difficult struggle, but in the end, Korea was able to achieve independence and be in charge of their own future.
