Liberalism

Liberalism is about giving people more freedom and rights. It's based on the idea that people should be treated equally, no matter what their race, religion, or gender is. Liberalism also believes in government being involved in protecting people's rights, and helping people that need extra help. For example, liberals support laws or policies to help people get an education, to care for the environment, and to help provide things like healthcare and food to those who cannot afford it. Liberals also support things like free speech and the right to vote.
