Living streets are streets that are designed to be safe and enjoyable places for people who want to walk, bike, or use wheelchairs. They are designed with the idea that people, not cars, should be the main focus. That means they have wide sidewalks, plenty of street trees and plants, colorful decorations and artwork, and other features that make them nice places to be. It also means that they usually are slow-moving, with cars travelling at a slower pace than on other streets. This makes them safer for people to be in, as well as better for the environment.
