Lying in repose

Lying in repose is when someone who has passed away is laid out for people to come and see them before their funeral. It's like a last chance for people to say goodbye or pay their respects. The person who has passed away is usually dressed in nice clothes or a suit and placed in a casket or coffin. The family of the person who has passed away usually decides where and when the lying in repose will be held. Sometimes it happens in a funeral home or a church. People come to the lying in repose to say goodbye and show their love for the person who has passed away. It's a sad time, but it's also a chance for people to remember the good times they had with the person who has passed away.
