Magnetic stripe card

A magnetic stripe card is like a credit card or debit card, except it has something special inside. On the back there is a long, thin strip made of magnetized material. This strip records information such as the cardholder's name, the card's account number, and other information. When you slide the card through a card reader, the reader reads the information on the strip and sends it to banks or merchants, who can then use the information to process payments or check your account balance.
