Maritime history
Maritime history is the study of how people have interacted with the oceans, seas and other water bodies throughout history. This includes looking at things like boats, ships and other vessels and discovering how people used them to travel, trade and explore. We can also explore things like what laws and regulations were put in place to protect people at sea, or how maritime trade influenced cultures and economies around the world. Maritime history is an exciting field to explore and discover how people used the ocean and how it has shaped our world.
