Maternal health

Maternal health refers to the health of a mom when she is pregnant and giving birth to a baby. Just like how our bodies need nutrients and care to grow and be healthy, a mom's body also needs extra attention and care during this time.

Doctors and nurses, who are like helpers or friends for the mom, make sure she eats healthy food, gets enough rest and exercise, and takes special vitamins and medicines to keep her and the baby healthy. They also keep an eye on the baby's growth to make sure everything is going well.

Sometimes, being pregnant and giving birth can be difficult and cause problems like high blood pressure or bleeding. This is why it's important for the mom to have check-ups regularly and to tell her helpers if she feels sick or worried.

By taking care of the mom's health during pregnancy and childbirth, it helps to ensure that the baby is born healthy and strong, giving them a good start in life.
