Media influence is when different forms of media, such as newspaper, TV, and radio, affect what people think or do. For example, if someone watches a movie about a doctor, the movie may make them think that being a doctor is a cool or important job. People might also see or hear something in the media that makes them believe a certain way of thinking is true, like everybody needs to have lots of money to be successful. Sometimes, the media can also teach people things they didn’t know before, like a new song they learn the words to or a new type of food they find out to try. Media influence can also shape what people think of as popular or “in,” like a hairstyle or type of clothing.
