Mediatization (media)

Mediatization (media) is when media (e.g. television, radio, newspapers or online media like websites) influence what people think, do and talk about. For example, TV shows, movies, or news stories might talk about a certain topic, and this can make people interested in learning more about it or talking to their friends or family about it. Mediatization also means that media can shape people's opinions and understanding of an issue, even if it isn't accurate.
