ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Medical ethics

Medical ethics is the way doctors, nurses, and other healthcare workers act when they are caring for people. It is important that they do things in a way that is safe, respectful, and helpful to their patients. They must also think about their patients’ rights, such as keeping information private, giving them choices, and respecting their wishes. Doctors, nurses, and other healthcare workers must follow certain rules to make sure they are being ethical with their patients.
