Merchant navy

The merchant navy is a group of ships (boats) that travel all over the world carrying goods to different places. The goods they carry could be things like food, clothes, furniture, cars, and sometimes even animals. The people who work on the ships are called sailors and they work hard to make sure that the goods get where they need to go. They also look after the ship, make sure it is safe and does not get damaged. So, in a way, the merchant navy is like a big moving store - it takes things from one place to another and helps to keep the world connected.
