Misleading vividness

Misleading vividness is when someone makes something seem more exciting or special than it really is. For example, if someone tells you a pretend story about finding a big diamond in their backyard and you are very excited because it sounds so exciting, but then you find out it wasn't even true, that is an example of misleading vividness. Most of the time people do this to make things seem better than they really are.
