ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Mixed single vote

Mixed single vote is like when you go to the store and want to buy some candy. The store has lots of different candies, but you can only choose one.

Now imagine that there are two candy stores next to each other. Each store has different candies that you really like, but again, you can only choose one. So, you need to decide which candy store you want to go to and buy the candy from.

Mixed single vote is like making that decision by choosing one of the two stores based on which candy you want the most. It's called mixed because you get to choose a candy from one store, but it's single because you can only choose one candy in total.

In politics, mixed single vote is a way of voting where people get to choose candidates from two different groups or parties. For example, in some elections, you might choose one person from a list of candidates for President, and another person from a list of candidates for Vice President.

So, mixed single vote is a way of choosing one thing from two different options, like choosing one candy from two stores, or choosing one candidate from two different groups.
