ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Modular design

Modular design is a type of design where you can fit many different pieces together to form something new. Think of it like LEGO bricks. Each brick is its own separate piece, but you can put them together however you want to make something new. With modular design, the same idea is used but with different kinds of things. For example, you could have different modules that are like puzzle pieces and when you fit them together you get a new product.
