Navaratri

Navaratri is a festival that people in India celebrate for nine days every year. It is like a big party where people have fun and do lots of different things together.

During Navaratri, people worship different gods and goddesses. In India, there are lots of stories about them, and people think they are pretty amazing. One of these stories is about a goddess named Durga. She had ten arms and fought against a monster with a lot of other gods. They won and saved the world from being destroyed.

Each day of Navaratri is dedicated to a different goddess, and people celebrate her in different ways. They may sing songs and dance, wear special clothes, and make yummy food to eat together. Sometimes they even fast to show their devotion.

On the ninth day, people have a big party called Vijayadashami. They celebrate the good things that happen in life, and they say thank you to the goddesses for making those things possible. They may also exchange gifts with each other or do acts of kindness for others.

Overall, Navaratri is a special time for people in India to come together, have fun, and show their love and gratitude towards the gods and goddesses.
