Nightmare

Have you ever had a scary dream at night that made you feel afraid or worried? That's called a nightmare.

Sometimes, when you go to sleep, your brain works on things you’ve experienced during the day. But sometimes, your brain can create scary images or experiences that feel real to you, even though they’re not really happening.

Nightmares can be caused by many things, like being scared or worried about something in your life, watching a scary movie or reading a scary book, or feeling sick or stressed.

But don't worry, nightmares are usually not real and can't hurt you. It's important to remember that if you have a scary dream, you can tell someone about it, like your parents or a trusted adult. They can help you feel better and remind you that it was just a dream.

Remember, even though nightmares can be scary, they will eventually go away and you can wake up to a new day.
