Noblesse oblige

Noblesse oblige means that people in high positions should act in a responsible way and help people who are less privileged than them. It is a French phrase which means "nobility obliges". The idea is that people with power and privilege should use it to do good, and help people who don't have the same advantages. For example, a rich person might donate money to a charity or give food to a homeless person, because they realize that they have more resources than others and can make a difference in their community.
