Nyasaland

Nyasaland was a country in Africa a long time ago. It was also called Malawi. The people who lived there had their own culture and language. The country was ruled by other countries, like Britain, for a while. This means that the people who lived there had to follow British rules and ways of doing things. Eventually, the people of Nyasaland decided they wanted to rule themselves, so they fought for their independence. They won, and Nyasaland became its own independent country.
