Obelism

Obelism is a type of sculpture made from tall, thin blocks of stone. It usually has four sides and a pyramidal top with a point at the top. Obelisks were made in Ancient Egypt thousands of years ago, and since then many countries around the world have made their own obelisks. Obelisks can act like a big pointy finger, pointing up to the sky and reminding people to look up at the stars or the sun. Obelisks help people feel connected to the heavens and to something bigger than themselves.
